Be the difference in your community.
Annually, Knights of Columbus donate nearly $136 million to charitable causes. However, donating financially is only part of what we do for the betterment of society.
Each year local Knights contribute over 63 million hours of volunteer service. Our members and their families give selflessly of their time.
We often underestimate the power of helping others, giving of our time or the power of the smallest act of service, all of which have the potential to turn lives around.
Local councils conduct a wide spectrum of service programs that not only service the community at large but also fulfill the needs that exists within each Knight of Columbus to serve others and make a difference.
Local Knights of Columbus councils annually conduct programs such as Blue Masses to honor and pray for emergency rescue personnel, blood drives to assist those in need, clothing and food collections to help the less fortunate, providing rides to shut-ins and by volunteering at area soup kitchens.
Members give of their time to Special Olympics by volunteering in a wide variety of roles. Knights and their families are active within their communities and the world is a better place because of them. Consider being a part of a force for good in your community, consider joining the Knights of Columbus.
You cannot build a reputation on what you intend to do.
There is a place for you in the Knights of Columbus. However, more importantly, there is a need in the community for your time and talent.
The future of your community depends upon what YOU do today.
It is easy to say that “someone” needs to make a difference in your community. The world needs more people that will look inside of themselves and see that they care enough to make that difference.
Are you that person?
If it is not going to be you that is going to serve the community then who will do it and if not now when will it get done?
