Catholic Leadership Retreat 2010

The Archdiocese of the Military Services, the Knights of Columbus esp. CUA Council #9542 and Col. Chuck Galllina, and the Pallotine Order.

We ask the attendees and those reading the article to remember the point of this discussion:
What does it take to stand up for what's morally right?

The day ended with Eucharistic Adoration & Mass.

Knights of Columbus at the March for Life

The Knights of Columbus are dedicated to bringing about an end to abortion.  The upcoming March for Life gives us an opportunity to defend life through civic involvement. 

Here in DC, we have numerous volunteer opportunities for our brother Knights and anyone else who would stand with us.

Saturday, January 16th, 2009

  • March 4 Life Sign Making | 10AM - 2PM | Contact for Location: Each year the Knights of Columbus give out 8,000+ signs to the marchers.  Come help us assemble them.  Please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information.

Thursday, January 21st, 2009

  • Vigil Mass | 5:30PM | The National Shrine: A vigil mass held at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.  All are welcome to this pre-event.   Ushers are needed from among Brother Knights.  Please contact Ed Sullivan to volunteer.
  • Pro Life Vigil & Celebration with the Friars of the Renewal (CFR) | 7:30PM - 10:30PM: A free concert / mass provided by the CFRs. Event is free, but tickets must be reseved beforehand.  More information can be found here.

Friday, January 22nd, 2009 - MARCH FOR LIFE!

  • March for Life Mass | 7:30AM | The Verizon Center & Surrounding Parishes: For the 19th year, the Archdiocese of Washington will host the Youth Rally and Mass for Life on Friday, January 22, 2010 in the Verizon Center.  Tickets are free, but required for this event.  A number of alternate viewing sites hvae been set up in other churches in the immediate area.  More information can be found on the Archdiocese of Washington Website.  Volunteers may still be needed for this event, please contact Ed Sullivan for more information.
  • March for Life | 12:00PM | The Mall & 7th St NW:  The big event.  Join tens of thousands as they march to end abortion in the United States.  More information can be found on the March for Life Website.
